Insurance Quotation Management System

We developed a custom insurance quotation management system for AYA Life Insurance to streamline their policy creation and approval processes. The system includes modules for generating quotations, tracking policy status, and managing customer information.

Insurance workflows involve complex data structures and decision-making processes. Our design focused on creating a user-friendly interface that guides employees through each step of the quotation process. We conducted usability tests with underwriters to refine the interface and ensure efficient data entry.

We use NextJS for the frontend to provide a fast and responsive user experience. The backend is built with Django, a Python web framework, to handle complex business logic and data processing. The system also provides RESTful APIs for integration with other internal systems and third-party services.

Generating accurate insurance quotations requires real-time calculations based on various factors. We implemented a rules engine that evaluates customer data against underwriting guidelines to provide instant quotes. The system also includes automated approval workflows and document generation for policy issuance. Generating accurate PDF documents that will print correctly was also a challenge.

Since launch, we were able to automate almost all of the policy creation processes.
